Rays host A's and Mariners during seven-game homestand

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.-The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Thursday to begin a four-game set against the Oakland Athletics before taking on the Seattle Mariners in a three-game series beginning Monday.

The Rays and A's open with a 7:10 p.m. game on Thursday, May 21. The series continues on Friday with a 7:10 p.m. contest.

Following Saturday's 4:10 p.m. game, The Jacksons are set to take the stage as the first act in the Rays 2015 Summer Concert Series.  

The Jacksons are one of the most beloved musical bands of all time. These five brothers from Gary, Ind., have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have inspired the musical landscape for "boy bands" throughout the world. With five No. 1 albums, 18 No. 1 hit singles, 17 Top-10 albums and 17 Top-40 singles, which include smash songs "ABC," "I Want You Back," "I'll Be There," "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground" and "Can You Feel It," to name a few. In 2016, the brothers Jackson will celebrate 50 years of being in the entertainment business, securing their place as the most recognizable family in music history.

When gates open prior to Sunday's 1:10 p.m. game, all kids 14 and under will receive a Rays Camo Tank Top while supplies last.

From the time gates open through the seventh inning, the Rays invite fans to shave their heads and join "Team Rays" for the sixth annual Cut for a Cure, benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Foundation. This event is part of a fundraising campaign during which professional athletes and more than 200 men, women and children shaved their heads to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Rays players and staff shaved their heads on March 6.

The Rays Summer Concert Series continues postgame Sunday with a performance from Cody Simpson, an 18-year-old internationally renowned singer/songwriter from Gold Coast, Australia. Simpson began his career recording songs in his bedroom during the summer of 2009. He was soon discovered on YouTube by Atlantic Records, with whom he released two Billboard Top-10 albums. Most recently, Simpson has departed from Atlantic to form his own label, Coast House Records. He will release his next album, "Free," on June 23. The Rays and Mariners open their three-game set on Monday at 7:10 p.m. The two teams meet again on Tuesday at 7:10 p.m. before a 1:10 p.m. finale on Wednesday.

FAMILY FUN DAY-Every Rays Sunday home game features free parking for cars with four or more passengers and a variety of free activities for kids on the concourse. Due to the postgame concert, there will be no Kids Run the Bases or DJ Kitty Kids Party.
