The 2015 Los Angeles Dodgers Yearbook celebrates the life and career of legendary Dodger lefty Fernando Valenzuela, in a special 21-page section, "The Man Behind the Mania." It is entirely in Valenzuela's words - beginning with his first memories of playing baseball at age 13 - and features never-before-seen photos. This year marks the 34th anniversary of the year that Valenzuela (who famously wore No. 34) pitched an Opening Day shutout at age 20, launching Fernandomania.

The May 2015 issue of Dodger Insider magazine features Adrian Gonzalez on the cover and a story that places his career in context with the great first basemen in MLB history, finding that Gonzalez is well on track to becoming one of the top 25 first basemen of all-time. A sidebar looks at the rise of veterans Carl Crawford and Jimmy Rollins up baseball's all-time charts.

Overall, there are more than two dozen stories in this month's magazine, which also looks at the baseball roots of president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and tells the tale of coach Jim Gilliam coming out of retirement 50 years ago this month to lift the Dodgers to the 1965 World Series title. The issue also offers features on lefty starter Brett Anderson and top infield prospect Corey Seager, a bevy of photos, games for young and old alike, and much more.

Dodger Insider magazine serves as a companion to the team's official blog, Dodger Insider (www.dodgers.com/insider), updated multiple times daily.
