White Sox recall Daniel Webb to roster as 26th player

BALTIMORE - Prior to Game 1 of today's straight doubleheader at Baltimore, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher Daniel Webb from Class AAA Charlotte as the 26th player.

Webb, 25, previously served as the 26th player for the White Sox on April 26 vs. Kansas City but did not pitch. He is 1-1 with a 4.01 ERA (11 ER/24.2 IP), two saves, 21 strikeouts and a .237 opponents average (22-93) over 15 games with Charlotte this season. Webb has worked 2.0-plus IP eight times and is limiting right-handers to a .229 mark (11-48).

Webb is 6-5 with a 3.87 ERA (34 ER/79.0 IP), five holds and 68 strikeouts in 66 career relief appearances over two seasons with the White Sox (2013-14). He has limited left-handers to a .217 average (25-115) lifetime.
