Brewers announce 100% player community participation

All players participated in Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) & Community Relations activities

The Milwaukee Brewers are pleased to announce that every member of the team's roster has committed to participate in Brewers Community Foundation and Community Relations activities for the 2015 season. Through the various BCF and the Brewers Community Relations initiatives, players, coaches and staff are helping make a difference in our community.

Player participation started before the team even arrived in Milwaukee. During Spring Training, members of BCF had the pleasure of speaking with each player individually about the challenges in the Milwaukee community and the team's commitment to having an impact on children and their families in the areas of health, education, recreation and basic needs.

In addition to financial support, those on the Brewers roster committed to participate in a number of initiatives. Beyond the Diamond is an umbrella program and an integral part of the Brewers' outreach effort. It features community involvement activities and opportunities to serve and generate additional support for quality nonprofit organizations. The Brewers Bowl-A-Thon, the Salvation Army Feed the Kids event and the Children's Hospital Visit are several of the initiatives in this year's Beyond the Diamond.

This year's involvement includes support for diverse organizations like: Ronald McDonald Charities, Sharp Literacy, Habitat for Humanity, Wounded Warrior, The Wisconsin Humane Society, Milwaukee Public Library, Make-a-Wish Foundation and several Little League groups including Beckum Stapleton Little League, Felix Mantilla and RBI.
