Dodgers Reinstate Catcher Yasmani Grandal

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the seven-day concussion disabled list and optioned outfielder Chris Heisey to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Grandal, who suffered a mild concussion during the Dodgers' May 22 game against the Padres, has posted a .400/.492/.660 slashline in 16 games this month, going 20-for-50 with four doubles, three homers and 15 RBI in 16 games. Overall, he ranks among National League catchers in batting average (.294, 4th), on-base percentage (.402, 1st MLB catchers) and slugging percentage (.471, 2nd), while hitting four home runs and driving in 17 runs in 33 games.

Heisey has appeared in five games during three stints with the Dodgers, going 1-for-9 with five walks.
