Rays Minor Leaguer Blanchard suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Tampa Bay Rays Minor League infielder/outfielder Coty Blanchard has received a 50-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Amphetamine, a stimulant in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

The suspension of Blanchard, who is currently on the roster of the Single-A Bowling Green Hot Rods of the Midwest League, is effective immediately.
