D-backs place Bradley on the disabled list, recall Ray from Triple-A Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) placed right-handed pitcher Archie Bradley on the 15-day disabled list (right shoulder tendinitis) and recalled left-handed pitcher Robbie Ray (@RobbieRay) from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.

Bradley, 22, is 2-3 with a 5.80 ERA (23 ER in 35.2 IP) in 8 starts in his debut season. In his first 4 starts, he was 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA (4 ER in 20.0 IP). He was removed in his fourth start on April 28 vs. Rockies after being hit in the face by a Carlos Gonzalez line drive in the second inning and was on the disabled list from April 29-16.

Ray, 23, was recalled on May 6 as the 26th Man to start the second game of a doubleheader @ Rockies and allowed 1 run on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts over 6.0 innings. In 9 starts for the Aces, he is 2-3 with a 3.67 ERA (17 ER in 41.2 IP) and 57 strikeouts. In his last 3 starts, he was 1-0 with a 2.25 ERA (4 ER in 16.0 IP) and 19 strikeouts, allowing 2 earned runs or less in each of those outings. He was rated as the D-backs' No. 8 Prospect by MLB.com entering 2015 after being acquired from the Detroit Tigers on Dec. 5, 2014.

Ray will start tonight's game vs. Mets.
