Pirates Homestand Highlights Monday, June 8 - Tuesday, June 16, 2015

Big and Rich Fan Jam postgame concert highlights fourth homestand

The Bucs return home from a nine-game road trip that took the team to San Diego, San Francisco and Atlanta. The Pirates return to PNC Park for the fourth homestand of the season to play a three-game series with the Milwaukee Brewers, a weekend series with the Philadelphia Phillies and a two-game interleague series with the Chicago White Sox.

This homestand is highlighted by the debut of University Days on Wednesday, June 10 and the first Fan Jam on Saturday, June 13 as Big and Rich will play on the field at PNC Park following the Pirates and Phillies game.   

Monday, June 8, 2015-Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers (7:05 p.m.)

  • Lions Club Night: The Pirates are partnering with the Western Pennsylvania's Lions Club for a night at PNC Park. Members of Lions Clubs are invited to celebrate the night of Bucco baseball with fellow members from local districts. For more information and tickets visit pirates.com/lionsclub.

Tuesday, June 9, 2015-Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers (7:05 p.m.)

  • Pups in the Park: Fans can enjoy Bucco baseball with their pooch as the Pirates present one of 10 Pup Nights at PNC Park. Each ticket package (1 person & 1 dog) costs just $30 with additional human tickets available for $30 each.   • Home Run Hitters: The American Softball Association Home Run Hitters Showdown will take place on the field at PNC Park from 6 to 6:15 p.m. and is open to all fans with a game ticket. Fans are encouraged to be in their seats early to watch a fun display of power. 

Wednesday, June 10, 2015-Pirates vs. Milwaukee Brewers (7:05 p.m.)

  • University Days with the University of Pittsburgh: Tonight is the debut of the Pirates University Days of 2015 with the University of Pittsburgh. All fans who purchase University Day tickets will receive a ticket in one of two special sections and a free Pirates and University of Pittsburgh hat. This season the Pirates will host University Days on select Wednesday dates. Students, alumni and fans of local universities are invited to cheer on the Pirates together at PNC Park.   • Disability Awareness Celebration: The Pirates, Passavant Memorial Homes Family of Services, 21andable.org, United Way, and TRCIL would like to invite fans to PNC Park to bring people together with all types of disabilities for our Disability Awareness Celebrations. This is the second year the Pirates will celebrate and create awareness at three different games during the season with other dates including Wednesday, July 8,Transition and Youth Engagement, and Wednesday, August 5, Adaptive Sports, Recreation and Fitness. Beginning at 5 p.m. each night on Federal Street, the Pirates will host a pre-game fair with various vendors, service agencies and more! Friday, June 12, 2015-Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies (7:05 p.m.)

  • Block Party: Tonight the Pirates and Baierl Automotive will host their Friday Block Party on Federal Street. Fans can party on the street with live music, featuring Totally 80's, along with food and beer sales. Pirates alumni Dick Groat will be the special guest bartender at the Miller Time Bar that will be located on Federal Street.
  • Singles Night: Tonight is Singles Night at PNC Park. Tickets are only $35 and include access to a pregame party, seats on the Deck and $10 in loaded value. The pregame event is a chance to meet up with other singles at the private PREGAME PARTY presented by Star 100.7 on the Pirates Deck with a chance to enjoy music, games, giveaways, and a cash bar serving beer and wine.   • i9 Sports Night: The Pittsburgh Pirates and i9 Sports are teaming up to offer discounted tickets to i9 members and their families and friends. The first 500 members registered for i9 Sports Night at pirates.com/i9sports will qualify to go on the field during a special pre-game salute to i9 Sports!
  • Free Shirt Friday: Tonight the first 20,000 fans with paid admission to PNC Park will receive a Pirates Free Shirt Friday tee, compliments of Central Blood Bank.
  • VIP Day: Pirates and Pirates Charities Chairman Bob Nutting will host a VIP (Very Important Pirate) Party for Urban Impact. The group will be special guests of Mr. Nutting and will have the opportunity to enjoy the evening's game from the Pirates Charities Suite. Mr. Nutting will host a VIP Party each month during the season in order to provide deserving children with a night at the ballpark in true VIP-style, complete with an opportunity to meet with Pirates players and coaches, a Pirates replica jersey and VIP goodie bag for each child. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a pregame ceremony and enjoy great ballpark menu items provided by Levy Restaurants through their Levy Cares program.

Saturday, June 13, 2015- Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies (4:05 p.m.)

  • Block Party: Come down early to join us before today's game for the Saturday Block Party on Federal Street. Fans are invited to come party on the street as food and beer sales will be available. Pirates alumni John Wehner will be the special guest bartender at the Miller Lite Bar that will be located on Federal Street.
  • Domestic Violence Awareness: In an effort to help raise awareness to the very important topic of domestic violence, the Pirates will host a resource fair on Federal Street prior to today's game. The resource fair will be open to the public and offers the unique opportunity to visit with 20 non-profit, domestic violence support organizations.
  • Big and Rich Fan Jam: After tonight's game, all fans are encouraged to stay in their seats for a post-game concert featuring Big and Rich, presented by Highmark. Sunday, June 14, 2015- Pirates vs. Philadelphia Phillies (1:35 p.m.)- Kids Day

  • Kids Day: Come down early and join the fun as the #1 Cochran Family Fun Zone will be open on Federal Street from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lined up outside PNC Park will be inflatable rides, face painting, information about the Bucaroos Kids Club, brought to you by Chick-fil-A, and more.
  • Pitch For Hope: The annual Pitch for Hope Women's Baseball Clinic will take place on the field today from 8 to 10 a.m. as women will receive personal instruction for Pirates Manager Clint Hurdle and the Pirates coaching staff. Proceeds will benefit A Glimmer of Hope, a women's breast cancer support non-profit, and the Breast Care Center at Allegheny General Hospital.
  • Andrew McCutchen Sleeve: All kids 14 and younger will receive an Andrew McCutchen compression sleeve, courtesy of Mrs. T's Pierogies.
  • Flag Day: Today 25 United States Air Force enlistees will be sworn in during a special pregame ceremony by USAF Lt. Col. Alex Ackerman.
  • Girl Scouts Day: Girl Scout Day is a celebration of the Girl Scouts of Western PA and their family and friends while enjoying a baseball game. Participating Girl Scouts will also receive a Pittsburgh Pirates Girl Scout Patch. For information and to order tickets visit pirates.com/girlscouts.

Monday, June 15, 2015- Pirates vs. Chicago White Sox (7:05 p.m.)

Pirates Charities 50/50 Raffles

The Pirates Charities 50/50 Raffle, supported by Rivers Casino, is back for the 2015 season. The 50/50 Raffles will take place during each Pirates home game throughout the season. Raffle ticket prices are three (3) tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10 and 40 tickets for $20 with all proceeds benefiting Pirates Charities. Raffle ticket sales close after the last out in the sixth inning. The winning number will be drawn, announced in the 8th inning and the winner will receive 50 percent of the total pot. Winning numbers will also be posted on pirates.com/5050raffle within three business days.
