5th Annual Seattle Mariners Root Sports Tele-auction

Online auction of memorabilia and experiences to benefit Mariners Care

Autographed Mariners memorabilia, premium tickets, even a pregame party at Edgar's Cantina hosted by Edgar Martinez himself, are among the items that will be offered for bid during the 5th Annual Seattle Mariners ROOT SPORTS Tele-auction on Monday, June 15. Proceeds from the online auction will benefit Mariners Care, the team's non-profit foundation.

Details of the items up for bid are now available at mariners.com/ROOT. Bidding will begin on June 15 at 6:30pm through 10pm.

Among the dozen items up for bid are a Felix Hernandez autographed jersey and baseball and autographed jerseys and bats from Nelson Cruz, Robinson Cano and Kyle Seager. Experiences available include a pregame party for 20 at Edgar's Cantina at Safeco Field, hosted by Edgar Martinez; four front row Diamond Club tickets; a Jamie Moyer autographed baseball and four Commissioner's Box seats for Moyer's Hall of Fame induction on August 8; a visit to the ROOT SPORTS broadcast booth and four front row seats in the All-Star Club; the chance to be a guest groundskeeper.

All items will open with starting bids with minimum raise amounts.

Also available are 250 limited edition backpacks filled with a Mariners cap, a Sunday alternate t-shirt and a baseball autographed by a Mariners player. They will be available for the buy-it-now price of $125 each. In addition, there are 50 VIP backpacks that come with a Sunday alternate cap, alternate T-shirt, baseball autographed by a Mariners player, and an authentic on-field home jersey autographed by a Mariners player. The buy-it-now price will be $350.

Mariners Care, the team's nonprofit foundation, supports primarily youth-oriented charities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Mariners Care, in partnership with the team's corporate partners, has provided an average of $1 million a year for regional charitable programs and causes. Since 2000, Mariners Care has helped raise $15.8 million to benefit various charitable programs in the Northwest.
