New Hampshire Red Sox Service Scholarship recipients to be introduced at Fenway Park Sunday; winner of Red Sox Foundation "Impact Awards" in Granite State to be recognized
Red Sox Foundation to present 45 New Hampshire public school seniors with $1,000 college scholarships during New Hampshire Day at Fenway Park presented by Bond Auto Parts
BOSTON, MA - The Red Sox Foundation will introduce the 45 recipients of the New Hampshire Red Sox Service Scholarships during a pregame ceremony at Fenway Park before the Red Sox-Blue Jays game on Sunday, June 14. The program awards students from 45 public high schools across New Hampshire with $1,000 scholarships towards their college education based on academic performance, financial aid eligibility, and demonstrated community service.
The service scholarship program was introduced in 2010 by then-New Hampshire Governor John Lynch, and Red Sox Principal Owner John W. Henry and Red Sox Foundation Board Member Linda Pizzuti Henry. The program has since expanded from 10 qualifying New Hampshire public schools in its inaugural year to 45 in 2015. One student from each of the 45 high schools is chosen for the award. The service scholarships are available in all six New England states.
The scholarship recipients will be greeted on the field at Fenway Park by New Hampshire Governor Maggie Hassan, Red Sox Foundation Board Member Linda Pizzuti Henry, Red Sox Chief Operating Officer Sam Kennedy, Red Sox Senior Vice President Corporate Partnerships Troup Parkinson, Vice President of Lubricant Sales at ENEOS Gary Steele, New Hampshire Service Scholarship Committee Members Dr. Sherry Scovell and Tyler Tumminia, and Red Sox Foundation Executive Director Gena Borson.

The foundation will also honor the New Hampshire winner of the "IMPACT Awards" (Inspiring More Philanthropy Across Charities Together), a new program that provides Red Sox fans in the five New England states outside of Massachusetts with the opportunity to vote for their favorite local non-profits to decide which charities will be awarded grants.
Easter Seals New Hampshire, an organization that offers a variety of services to help people with disabilities, is the winner of the New Hampshire IMPACT Award. The non-profit will receive a $10,000 grant from the Red Sox Foundation during Sunday's pregame ceremonies.
The June 14 ceremonies are part of New Hampshire Day at Fenway Park, presented by Bond Auto Parts.
The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Craig Bond from Bond Auto Parts. The national anthem will be sung by Ashley Vaughan, one of the 45 New Hampshire Service Scholarship recipients being recognized. Members of the US Marines Bravo Company in Londonderry, New Hampshire, will carry the colors, and children from the Webster House in Manchester, New Hampshire, will say "Play Ball."
The Boston Red Sox will also celebrate Flag Dag on June 14 by draping the American Flag over the Green Monster for the playing of the national anthem.
