Reds and P&G partner for new video board at Great American Ball Park

90'x30' LED screen to debut in time for the All-Star Game

CINCINNATI (May 28, 2015) - A second LED video board will be added to Great American Ball Park in time for the 86th MLB All-Star Game, thanks to the continued partnership between the Cincinnati Reds and Procter & Gamble.

The video display, which if laid flat would span the entire length from home plate to first base, allows fans with obstructed views to the existing scoreboard a new direct line of sight to all the digital action.

P&G, a long-time partner with the Reds, is providing financial support for the scoreboard which will also feature some of P&G's great American brands such as Tide, Charmin and Pampers. Construction is kicking off this week.

"We are proud to partner with P&G on this project and excited to showcase the extensive brand portfolio of this iconic global company," said Bob Castellini, Reds President and CEO. "We are grateful P&G continues to honor its local roots by supporting projects such as this."

The Reds and P&G have a longstanding partnership. Many of P&G's popular brands are already featured around Great American Ball Park, and most recently the Cincinnati MLB Urban Youth Academy, sponsored by P&G, opened in the Roselawn neighborhood.

"As a company focused on delighting consumers every day, we're thrilled to create a partnership between America's favorite brands, Great American Ball Park and our hometown Cincinnati Reds to enhance the fan experience," said P&G Chairman and CEO A.G. Lafley. "As Major League Baseball's All-Star Game puts Cincinnati on the worldwide stage, we're proud to show P&G's strong commitment to the Reds."

The new Daktronics LED video display will be installed above the Sun Deck/Moon Deck seats in right field, complementing the existing main video board above left field.

Once the board is installed, about 7,500 seats that have limited or obstructed views of the main scoreboard will directly benefit from the new video display.

The installation of the new video board is scheduled to be completed later this summer in time for the MLB All-Star Game on July 14 at Great American Ball Park.
