Cardinals sign seven more Draft picks pushing total to 23

Organization has signed 28 players including five non-drafted free agents

ST. LOUIS - The St. Louis Cardinals have signed seven more draft picks including two from the Top 10 rounds, bringing their total draft picks signed to 23 and the overall total to 28.

Jacob Evans (6th Round), a left-handed pitcher from the University of Oklahoma, and Jesse Jenner (7th Round), a catcher from the University of San Diego, signed giving the Cardinals 8-of-12 signees in the Top 10 rounds.

RHP Carson Cross (14th Round), INF Daniel Martin (24th Round), RHP Greg Tomchick (27th Round), OF Thomas Spitz (32nd Round) and INF R.J. Dennard (39th Round) round out the draft picks signed today.

Two non-drafted free agents were signed in right-handed pitcher Harley Holt from Hawaii Pacific University and left-handed hitting third baseman, Michael Polcyn, from Ripon College in Wisconsin.

The Cardinals have until July 17 at 4:00 p.m. CT, to sign players from the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft.
