Colorado recalls pitcher Christian Bergman from Triple-A Albuquerque

Rockies place Brooks Brown on 15-day disabled list with shoulder inflammation

DENVER - The Colorado Rockies on Thursday recalled right-handed pitcher Christian Bergman from Triple-A Albuquerque and placed pitcher Brooks Brown on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to Wednesday.

Bergman, who turned 27 on May 4, opened the season on the Rockies' 25-man roster. He is 2-0 with a 4.18 ERA (32.1 IP, 15 ER) in 14 games and one start. He was optioned June 10 to the Isotopes, where he made one appearance on June 15, allowing one hit in three innings vs. El Paso.

Brown, who turns 30 on Saturday, is 0-2 with a 3.86 ERA (23.1 IP, 10 ER) in 24 relief appearances. Today marks his second stint on the DL with right shoulder inflammation. He was previously placed on the disabled list May 14, retroactive to May 4. He didn't pitch from May 4 until appearing on May 23. 

The Rockies have a full 40-man roster.
