Dodgers Reinstate Pedro Baez, Option Ian Thomas

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today reinstated Pedro Baez from the 15-day disabled list (right pectoral strain) and optioned left-handed pitcher Ian Thomas to Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Baez last appeared in a game on May 13 against the Marlins and has made 15 relief appearances this season, posting a 1.76 ERA (3ER/15.1 IP) with a 0.98 WHP. He has not allowed a run in his last eight appearances for the Dodgers (8.1 IP), striking out 12 batters against just one walk during that span. He tossed 3.0 scoreless innings in three rehab appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Thomas has made one appearance for the Dodgers this season, going 0-1 with a 12.00 ERA (4 ER/3.0 IP).
