A's agree to terms with 1st-round Draft pick SS Richie Martin

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland A's agreed to terms with their first round selection from the 2015 First-Year Player Draft, shortstop Richie Martin from the University of Florida, the club announced today.

Martin, who was selected with the 20th overall pick, batted .291 with six home runs and 36 RBI in 70 games for Florida. He walked 35 times and was hit by a pitch 16 times for a .399 on-base percentage. The right-handed hitting junior led the Gators in runs scored (63), walks, stolen bases (20) and hit by pitches.  

The A's have now signed or agree to terms with 31 of their 40 selections from the draft, including each of the first 13 and 19 of the first 21.
