Mariners "Bark At The Park" sold out

Thursday's "Bark at the Park" at Safeco Field is sold out. Attendance was capped at 500 dogs in the special section. This is the second year for the event, which is presented by AvoDerm Natural Pet Foods and Nylabone.

All ticketed participants will receive a free Mariners bandana for their dog and collapsible water dish.

Only those who purchased tickets for themselves and their dogs through the special Bark at the Park offer will be allowed to bring their dog to Safeco Field. (Exceptions are always made for service dogs.)

Gates open at 5:10pm. Owners will check in with their dogs at the Left Field Gate (near The Mitt statue) where they will be required to show proof that their dog has been vaccinated and sign a waiver. All participating dogs must be at least six months old, fully housetrained, and on a leash at all times while inside Safeco Field.

Bark at the Park dogs will only be allowed in Sections 341 through 347, and the concourse areas outside the seating sections, where there will be activities and representatives from Avo Derm Natural Pet foods, Nylabone, Adams, Mud Bay and PetSmart. There will be water and "comfort stations" for the dogs. Cleanup is courtesy of a "waste disposal management team." Veterinarians will be on site before, during and after the game in case of emergency.

After the game, all Bark at the Park participants are invited down on field to take a walk around the bases.

There will be a pregame presentation during which a donation will be made to Tony LaRussa's Animal Rescue Foundation, Code 3 Associates animal disaster and recovery service, and the Pets Add Life (PAL) campaign.
