Marlins to conclude first half of 2015 season with four-game homestand
Homestand features two fan giveaways - Marlins Energy Team Poster (July 10) and Henderson Alvarez Bobblehead (July 12).
The Miami Marlins begin their seventh homestand tomorrow, Thursday, July 9, with a four-game series against the Cincinnati Reds to wrap up the first half of the 2015 campaign. Miami is 21-22 at Marlins Park this season, with a 13-7 record over their last 20 home games.
This homestand features two giveaways for fans. On Friday, the first 10,000 fans will receive a Marlins Energy Team poster, presented by Miccosukee Resort & Gaming. Then on Sunday, the first 10,000 fans will receive a Henderson Alvarez bobblehead, presented by South Florida Ford.
The homestand begins on Thursday, when all fans 55 years young and above can receive complimentary tickets as part of Marlins Seniors Free Ticket Thursday, presented by Wellmax Medical Centers. Then on Friday, the Marlins invite fans to join the celebration of Coors Light Christmas in July. The special event package includes a game ticket, Marlins Christmas T-shirt, and meet-and-greet with Santa Claus. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Marlins RBI program. In addition, that night's postgame fireworks show presented by Preferred Care Partners will feature accompanying snowfall.
The Marlins will then have a postgame concert on Saturday by Jerry Rivera, marking the fifth concert of the Saturday Spectacular Summer Concert Series. The concert is presented by Bacardi. The homestand wraps up on Sunday, with Mental Health Awareness Day. The Marlins will recognize Mental Health Awareness Day with a portion of the proceeds benefitting The Ride to Awareness Foundation. In addition, the Marlins will have their third Fish Family Gathering following the game. Members will have the opportunity to play catch in the outfield, and then enjoy a photo and autograph session in the First Base Dugout Club.
