World Cup Champion and Seattle Reign FC forward Megan Rapinoe to throw out first pitch at Safeco Field Sunday

Ticket special and limited edition T-shirt available for Women's Soccer fans

Seattle Reign FC forward Megan Rapinoe, a member of the FIFA Women's World Cup championship team, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Sunday's Seattle Mariners vs. Los Angeles Angels game (1:10pm start).

Soccer fans can buy specially priced tickets for the game and receive a limited edition T-shirt that celebrates the U.S. Women's National Team's 5-2 win against Japan for its third World Cup title. Specially priced tickets are $16 for View Level (regularly $25) and $31 for Main Level (regularly $45). Tickets are only available online at mariners.com/soccer. Deadline to purchase tickets through the offer is 5pm, Friday, July 10.

Rapinoe appeared in six games for the Women's National Team during the World Cup competition, scoring two goals in a 3-1 win against Australia on June 8. Rapinoe joined the NWSL Seattle Reign FC in 2013, where she has played 24 regular season games, scoring 12 goals and four assists.

The Seattle Reign meet the Western New York Flash on Saturday, July 11, on the Moda Pitch at Memorial Stadium.
