Clayton Kershaw Will Host Baseball Clinic for Youth from the Dream Center at Dodger Stadium

LOS ANGELES - Tomorrow more than 100 youth from the Dream Center will partake in a baseball clinic at Dodger Stadium with Clayton Kershaw from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Kershaw and wife Ellen, along with the Dodgers, have organized this community event. Following the clinic, Kershaw and a few of his teammates will sign autographs for the youngsters.

The Dream Center youth, ranging from 6 to 16 years of age, are from various programs at The Dream Center including their transitional family housing program. Youth from The Dream Center's various housing projects including Jordan Downs, Nickerson Gardens and William Mead will be on hand at tomorrow's clinic.

"We are so grateful to Clayton, Ellen and the Dodgers' community relations department," said Matthew Barnett, co-founder of The Dream Center. "Through this clinic, they are showing children that it's okay to live out their dreams."

The Dream Center, founded in 1994 by Matthew Barnett, serves 85,000 individuals each month through various outreach programs. Those programs include GED training, job training and placement, foster care intervention and after-school programs among other things. There are now more than 100 Dream Center locations throughout the United States, including Los Angeles, New York City, Miami, Phoenix and St. Louis.
