Miller Park Homestand Highlights: July 17-22

Bill Schroeder Wall of Honor, Khris Davis Bobblehead, Major League Night, and more

MILWAUKEE, WI - The Milwaukee Brewers return to Miller Park from the All-Star break to open a five-game homestand tonight as the Pittsburgh Pirates visit Milwaukee for a three-game weekend series, followed by a brief two-game Interleague series vs. the Cleveland Indians.

Friday, July 17 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates - 7:10 p.m.
Free Shirt Friday - All fans in attendance will receive a retro Brewers T-Shirt featuring mascot Barrelman, compliments of American Family Insurance. T-shirt sizes include a choice of adult medium and adult extra-large only. This is the third in a series of seven All-Fan T-Shirt giveaways this season.
 
Student Night - Every Friday home game, high school and college students can purchase $10 Terrace Reserved and $15 Loge Bleachers tickets. Student Night ticket buyers will also be able to purchase specially priced items at certain concession stands from the time Miller Park gates open through first pitch, including hot dogs and nachos as well as 12oz soda and beer all available for only $3.
 
Miller Lite Beerpen - Every Friday home game, fans 21+ who sit in the Miller Lite Beerpen in the right-field Loge Bleachers will receive a free Miller Lite Brewers hat.
 
Wall of Honor - Former player and current TV analyst Bill Schroeder will be enshrined on the "Brewers Wall of Honor" at Miller Park. The "Wall of Honor," which was unveiled in 2014, commemorates Milwaukee Brewers players and broadcasters who meet a set criteria based on service to the club. The "Wall of Honor" is a permanent display outside Miller Park, on the north side of the stadium adjacent to the Hot Corner entrance. Honorees on the wall each have a plaque with their photo and a brief synopsis of their career. A pre-game ceremony will be held to honor Schroeder, and he will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
 
ALS Day - The ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter will be hosting their 4th annual "Chasin' A Cure Tailgate Event" at Miller Park. The tailgate will include great food and drinks, a collectible T-Shirt and a performance by Chasin' Mason. Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a motor neuron disease. Lou Gehrig brought worldwide attention to the disease in 1939, when he abruptly retired from baseball after his ALS diagnosis. The ALS Association Wisconsin Chapter provides education, guidance, services and support to ALS patients, their families and caregivers, promotes public awareness and raises funds for ALS research. ALS supporter, Colleen Boltz, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
 
RBI Athlete of the Month - Each month, an RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) athlete will be recognized for their dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership, reliability and monthly performance. Josiah Roundtree from Riverside University High School will be recognized as July's RBI athlete of the month, and will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
 
Saturday, July 18 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates - 6:10 p.m.
Autograph Saturdays for Kids presented by U.S. Bank® - Prior to five Brewers Saturday home games this season, fans aged 14 and under can receive autographs from select Brewers players and coaches. Autograph sessions will begin shortly after gates open and last for approximately 20 minutes. For each Autograph Saturday game, one child will be selected to win a VIP package, including four Loge Level tickets to that night's game and on-field batting practice viewing, compliments of U.S. Bank®. The final Autograph Saturday of the season will be August 1. Fans can register at Miller Park Field Level Guest Relations or online at Brewers.com/autographsaturdays.


Season Seat Holder Appreciation Day - Season Seat Holders receive 25% off food, beverage and merchandise during select games by simply presenting their Season Seat Holder ID Card. Season Seat Holders also enjoy the opportunity to enter Miller Park 30 minutes prior to the general public to watch the Brewers take batting practice. Negro Leagues Tribute Game - The Brewers will host the franchise's 10th annual Negro Leagues Tribute Game at Miller Park on Saturday. The team will honor the significance of the Negro Leagues and their impact on the game by donning Milwaukee Bears uniforms, the city's 1923 Negro Leagues representative. The Pirates will also honor the Negro Leagues by wearing uniforms from the "Pittsburgh Crawfords," the team that represented the Steel City from 1931 to 1938.
 
At this game, the Brewers will honor former players and baseball contributors Gilbert Hernandez Black and James Beckum during a tailgate reception at Helfaer Field, beginning at 3 p.m., along with a special pre-game ceremony at Miller Park. In honor of the event, Brewers Community Foundation will make a donation to both the Negro Leagues Museum and Yesterday's Negro League Baseball Players Foundation. In addition, an autograph session with both honorees will take place during the first 45 minutes of the game on the Field Level Concourse near home plate. 
 
Brewers Coupon Book Giveaway - The first 25,000 fans 18 and older will receive a Brewers coupon book offering a variety of savings and special ticket offers.
 
Sunday, July 19 vs. Pittsburgh Pirates - 1:10 p.m.
Khris Davis Bobblehead - All fans in attendance will receive a bobblehead of Brewers outfielder Khris Davis wearing a camouflage jersey, courtesy of Wisconsin National Guard.


Brewers Bowl-A-Thon Hosted by Matt Garza - Matt Garza and the Brewers will host a Bowl-A-Thon to help support the Sojourner Family Peace Center. The Sojourner Family Peace Center provides a safe haven for abused women and children. The goal of the center is to ensure the safety of victims of domestic violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers by making positive and lasting changes. The center is the largest nonprofit provider of domestic violence prevention and intervention in Wisconsin, serving over 9,500 clients each year.  


Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Family Sundays at Helfaer Field - Prior to Sunday home games, Helfaer Field will be open for fans to play catch in the outfield and take pictures with Bernie Brewer and the Famous Racing Sausages™. In addition, Children's Hospital offers fun opportunities to learn about injury prevention, sports safety, heart health and more.

Monday, July 20 - Off Day
RBI Central Regional Tournament Game - The Brewers will be hosting the 2015 RBI Central Regional tournament as six leagues will be competing in the Junior, Senior and Softball divisions beginning Friday, July 17 through Sunday, July 19, with the championship game played at Miller Park on July 20. RBI teams will be represented by the host Brewers RBI, Cubs RBI, White Sox RBI, Minnesota RBI, St. Louis RBI, and Kansas City RBI. The RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program, which is in its 27th year of operation and began in Los Angeles, is designed to give young people from underserved and diverse communities the opportunity to play baseball and softball. The program encourages academic achievement and success and teaches the value of teamwork as well as other important life lessons.
 
Tuesday, July 21 vs. Cleveland Indians - 7:10 p.m.
Major League Night - The one and only Harry Doyle (played by Bob Uecker) is immortalized in bobblehead form as the Brewers host the Cleveland Indians during Major League Night at Miller Park.

Team Store Signing - Brewers catcher Martin Maldonado will appear at the Miller Park Brewers Team Store by Majestic for an autograph signing from 12:30-1:30pm. Autographs will be free, and the first 250 people in line will receive a wristband guaranteeing a signature. If time allows, additional fans will be accommodated until 1:30pm. Fans will be allowed to enter through the Miller Park Hot Corner Entrance at 9am, and autographs will be on a first come, first served basis. There is a limit of one autograph per person and no photos will be permitted in order to accommodate as many fans as possible.


Brewers Wives Dinner Delivery - As part of the Brewers Wives Dinner Delivery program, Brewers wives will deliver a hot meal to the families at the Sojourner Family Peace Center. The wives will serve the meals to families and provide gift bags filled with Brewers memorabilia.


Community Achievers - The Milwaukee Brewers Community Involvement Initiative, known as the Community Achievers Award, recognizes residents throughout the state of Wisconsin each month during the season for displaying extraordinary efforts in their community. Tammy Conforti from Kenosha will be recognized as July's community achiever, and will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Zussman Awards - The John Zussman Baseball & Softball Scholarship Awards honor outstanding student athletes in the Milwaukee Public School system. John formed the "Knothole Club," which offered youth a chance to go to Milwaukee Braves games. Proceeds from the Knothole Club have been used to fund these scholarships since 1975. John has since passed away but his daughter, Ann Lederman, continues his scholarship. This year's Zussman Scholar winners are Kayla Miller, softball player from Milwaukee Rufus King, and Charles Parlier, baseball player from Milwaukee Riverside University High School.
