Yankees return to Yankee Stadium for six-game homestand; Highlights include Military Appreciaton Day, 2000 World Series Champions fan ring day, ticket specials on five dates

The New York Yankees will return home tonight for the first of six games at Yankee Stadium. The stretch of games will feature a three-game series vs. former Yankee Robinson Cano and the Seattle Mariners (Friday-Sunday, July 17-19) and a three-game set vs. division rival Baltimore Orioles (Tuesday-Thursday, July 21-23).

The Yankees will pay tribute to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and the United States Armed Forces by hosting Military Appreciation Day on Saturday, July 18. Ceremonies will begin approximately at noon, prior to the scheduled 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Mariners. As part of the festivities, the Gold Team of the United States Army Golden Knights will parachute into Yankee Stadium. 

Following the jump, Maddeline and Mitchell Voas, the family of fallen Air Force Special Operations Pilot Major Randell Voas, will be recognized in a special home plate ceremony. Also taking part in the day's ceremonies will be United States Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Matt Caruso - who will throw out the ceremonial first pitch; country music recording artist and former Army Ranger, Keni Thomas - who will sing the national anthem; and current member of the United States Air Force Band in Washington, D.C., Technical Sergeant Aaron Paige - who will sing God Bless America.

2000 World Series Champions Fan Ring Day will take place on Sunday, July 19. The first 18,000 Guests in attendance, 14 and younger, will receive a fan ring, courtesy of Betteridge Jewelers.

Ticket specials will run on Saturday, July 18 (Youth Game), Sunday, July 19 (Youth Game), Tuesday, July 21 (Military Personnel Game), Wednesday, July 22 (Military Personnel and Student Game) and Thursday, July 23 (MasterCard Half-Price, Military Personnel, Senior Citizen, and Youth Game).
