Statement from the Mets regarding suspension of Jenrry Mejia

"We were extremely disappointed when informed of Jenrry's second suspension for violating Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program. We fully support MLB's policy toward eliminating performance enhancing substances from the sport."

While the Mets will have no further comment on this suspension, as per the Joint Drug Program, Mets General Manager Sandy Alderson will address the media at 6:30 p.m. this afternoon in the Media Conference Room.
