Pirates announce Baseball Operations promotions

The Pittsburgh Pirates today have made promotions within the Baseball Operations Scouting department. The announcement was made by Executive Vice President, General Manager Neal Huntington and Assistant General Manager Greg Smith.

Ron Hopkins, who served the club as a Pro Scout, and Matt Ruebel, who was a National Supervisor, have both been promoted to Special Assistants to the General Manager.

In addition, Rodney Henderson and Everett Russell have been promoted to Professional Scouts. Henderson most recently served the organization as the Southeast Region Supervisor and Russell was the Midwest Region Supervisor.
