Yovani Gallardo declines qualifying 2016 contract offer from Rangers
The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has been officially notified that free agent pitcher Yovani Gallardo has declined the team's qualifying 2016 contract offer.
Gallardo had until today at 4:00 p.m. CST to accept or decline the offer. The Rangers may still negotiate with Gallardo, but Texas will gain an additional selection after the first round in the 2016 First Year Player Draft if he should sign with another team.
