Red Sox Foundation encourages fans to participate in 'Giving Tuesday'
The Red Sox Foundation is encouraging fans to participate in "Giving Tuesday" tomorrow, a global day of giving promoted through social media on the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving.
Fans who would like to make their "Giving Tuesday" donations to the Red Sox Foundation may do so on the charity's website, redsoxfoundation.org/give.
Donation made on Giving Tuesday will directly benefit four Red Sox Foundation programs that support children; the Massachusetts Little League Program, the New England Service Scholarship Program, the Red Sox Scholars Program, and the RBI Program.
Those who donate $50 or more will receive a special tri-blend shirt exclusively worn by Red Sox players and coaches.
Additional ways to give include purchasing an item from the Red Sox Foundation holiday auction on redsox.com/holidayauction, purchasing a scoreboard message for the 2016 season, or ordering a Red Sox charity license plate in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut.
