Angels trade outfielder Collin Cowgill to Cleveland

Club receives cash considerations from Indians

The Angels today have traded outfielder Collin Cowgill to the Cleveland Indians in exchange for cash considerations. Today's announcement was made by Angels General Manager Billy Eppler.
 
Cowgill, 29, appeared in 55 games for the Angels in 2015 and saw action at all three outfield positions. He batted .188 (13/69) with two doubles, one triple, one home run and two RBI in 74 plate appearances. The outfielder missed 84 games on the disabled list after suffering a sprained right wrist on May 24 in Boston.
 
In five Major League seasons, Cowgill has batted .236 (160/677) with 22 doubles, 12 home runs and 57 RBI in 308 games for the Diamondbacks, Athletics, Mets and Angels. During his three seasons with the Angels, he batted .236 (99/420) with eight home runs and 31 RBI in 211 games.
