White Sox add Alex Avila and Todd Frazier to roster of players scheduled to appear at SoxFest 2016

SoxFest 2016 single-day passes on sale beginning January 11

The Chicago White Sox announced additions to the roster of scheduled current and former players at SoxFest, the annual fan gathering at Hilton Chicago on Friday, January 29 through Sunday, January 31.

Two of the newest team members - Alex Avila and Todd Frazier - are scheduled to attend SoxFest. They will join first baseman Jose Abreu and left-handed pitcher Chris Sale along with new current player additions to the event schedule - left-handed pitcher John Danks and infielder Tyler Saladino. In addition, pitching coach Don Cooper, bench coach Rick Renteria, hitting coach Todd Steverson and manager Robin Ventura are scheduled to participate in the annual fan event. White Sox prospects Tim Anderson and Carson Fulmer also are scheduled to attend SoxFest.

Several White Sox greats also are scheduled to appear, including American League All-Star Harold Baines, veteran slugger from the 2005 World Series Championship Carl Everett, Hall-of-Fame catcher Carlton Fisk, sports legend Bo Jackson and 1983 AL Rookie of the Year Ron Kittle.  

Additional players who are added to the SoxFest schedule will be announced as they are confirmed in January.

The White Sox will offer a limited number of single-day passes to SoxFest 2016 only at whitesox.com/SoxFest beginning on Monday, January 11, at 10 a.m. Passes for the annual fan gathering on January 29-31 will go on sale for $50 for a Saturday-only pass, $40 for a Sunday-only pass and $75 for fans who purchase both Saturday and Sunday passes.

Fans are encouraged to purchase the SoxFest hotel package and guarantee attendance at this year's event as well as obtain exclusive access to Friday night events and receive a limited-edition SoxFest 2016 Chris Sale bobblehead. The two-night SoxFest hotel packages are the only way to purchase weekend passes. SoxFest hotel reservations at the Hilton Chicago are $304 (price does not include applicable taxes, fees and costs for weekend passes). Fans who book hotel packages are eligible to also purchase up to four SoxFest weekend passes. Weekend passes will be available for $40 for each adult and for $10 for kids (ages 4 to 13). This SoxFest offer is only available for fans who book reservations through whitesox.com/SoxFest.

Premium Upgrade Packages are still available for fans that have already purchased or will purchase the SoxFest hotel package and weekend pass(es). The package includes one special MVP SoxFest passes redeemable for three premium autographs without waiting in lines, a private autograph session, a private photo session and a private seminar as well as a limited edition SoxFest-themed 1976 White Sox T-shirt and two complimentary lower deck Outfield Reserve tickets to a 2016 April/May game (excluding Opening Day).

 SoxFest 2016 - sponsored by Miller Lite, Comcast SportsNet, Beggars Pizza and WGN-TV - offers fans the opportunity to meet their favorite White Sox players and past greats. This is the second year that the Hilton Chicago will host SoxFest, which is in its 24th year.  Fans will have access to special autograph, photo and question-and-answer sessions, the popular SoxFest Garage Sale and special interactive activities throughout the weekend.
