Marlins announce 20 non-roster Spring Training invitees

The Miami Marlins today announced that they have extended invitations to Major League Spring Training camp to 20 non-roster players. The announcement was made by Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill.

MIAMI -- The Miami Marlins today announced that they have extended invitations to Major League Spring Training camp to 20 non-roster players. The announcement was made by Marlins President of Baseball Operations Michael Hill.
The Marlins have signed 13 players to Minor League free agent contracts with invitations to Major League camp: right-handed pitchers Dylan Axelrod, Paul Clemens and Dustin McGowan; left-handed pitchers Chris Narveson and Troy Patton; catchers Francisco Arcia and Adrian Nieto; infielder Robert Andino, first basemen Dan Black and Xavier Scruggs; outfielders Destin Hood, Justin Maxwell and Kenny Wilson.
The following seven organizational players were also invited to Major League camp: left-handed pitcher Cody Ege; catcher Sharif Othman; infielders Austin Nola, J.T. Riddle, and Brady Shoemaker; outfielders Isaac Galloway and Yefri Perez.
Marlins' Spring Training headquarters will be based at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla. Pitchers and catchers will hold their first workout on Feb. 19, and the first full-squad workout will be Feb. 22.
As of today's announcement, the Marlins will have 60 players in Major League Spring Training camp.
