The Colorado Rockies announced Monday that they have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with outfielder Charlie Blackmon to avoid arbitration.

• Blackmon, 29, played in a career-high 157 games for the Rockies in 2015 and batted .287 (176-for-614) with 93 runs, 31 doubles, nine triples, 17 home runs, 58 RBI, 43 stolen bases, 46 walks and 112 strikeouts. The games played, runs, hits, doubles, triples, walks and stolen bases were all new career highs.

• The 43 steals ranked third in the NL and were fifth-most in a single season in franchise history. Became the first Rockies player to steal 40 or more bases since Willy Taveras recorded 68 stolen bases in 2008.

• Recorded 48 multi-hit games, which were the most for a Rockies player in 2015 and tied for ninth-most in the NL. His eight assists in center field were tied for the most among NL center fielders.

• Originally drafted by the Rockies in the second round of the 2008 First-Year Player Draft, the Dallas, Texas, native received his first NL All-Star selection in 2014, and has a career .288 batting average (480-for-1,664) with 234 runs, 84 doubles, 14 triples, 45 home runs, 169 RBI, 84 stolen bases, 91 walks and 282 strikeouts.
