Cubs Invite 18 Non-Roster Players to Major League Spring Training

The Chicago Cubs have invited the following 18 non-roster players to major league spring training, which begins Friday, February 19 when pitchers and catchers are invited to report in advance of their first formal workout on Saturday, February 20 at the club's Under Armour Performance Center in Mesa, Ariz.

The Chicago Cubs have invited the following 18 non-roster players to major league spring training, which begins Friday, February 19 when pitchers and catchers are invited to report in advance of their first formal workout on Saturday, February 20 at the club's Under Armour Performance Center in Mesa, Ariz.
Position players are invited to report to camp Tuesday, February 23 with the team's first full squad workout Wednesday, February 24.
The following 10 pitchers have been invited to major league camp: right-handed pitchers Stephen Fife, Brandon Gomes, Jean Machi, Felix Pena, Jonathan Pettibone, Armando Rivero, Drew Rucinski and Duane Underwood, as well as left-handed pitchers Luis Cruz and Jack Leathersich.
Three infielders have been invited to major league camp: Jesus Guzman, Munenori Kawasaki and Kristopher Negron.
Three outfielders have been invited to big league camp: Albert Almora, John Andreoli and Juan Perez.
Two catchers have been invited to big league camp: Taylor Davis and Tim Federowicz.
