The Cleveland Indians today signed free agent catcher Guillermo Quiroz to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.

The Cleveland Indians today signed free agent catcher Guillermo Quiroz to a Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.
Quiroz, 34, has appeared in 148 Major League games since 2004 spanning a 17-year playing career that began in 1999 in the Toronto organization. In 2015, the Maracaibo, Venezuela native spent his third consecutive season in the San Francisco Giants organization, hitting .247 (22-89) in 27 games for Triple-A Sacramento.
