Astros Have Sold Out 2016 Opening Day

The Houston Astros announced prior to today's exhibition game vs. the Milwaukee Brewers that their April 11 Home Opener is officially sold out. This sell-out marks the earliest an Opening Day has been sold out in several years, with over 41,000 fans expected in the ballpark. Tickets are still available for the rest of the 2016 Opening Series, April 12-14, as the Astros host reigning World Series Champion Kansas City Royals for three more games at 7:10 p.m. at Minute Maid Park.
The Astros 2016 Home Opener on Monday, April 11 will once again feature the Opening Day Street Fest, presented by Budweiser, from 2:00 - 6:30 p.m. The Street Fest includes live music, food trucks, games, a vendor expo and a brand new Budweiser Macro Bar, a 53-foot double-decker bar featuring ice cold Budweiser beverages. Several Astros players, manager A.J. Hinch and General Manager Jeff Luhnow will also participate in the Opening Day Street Fest with a Q&A, emceed by Astros radio broadcaster and former big leaguer Steve Sparks. An Opening Day game ticket is required for entry.

Astros fans, it's finally time to welcome Astros baseball back to Houston! The Astros 2016 Opening Series vs. the 2015 World Series Champion Kansas City Royals marks the first meeting of the two teams since Game 5 of the 2015 American League Division Series, and the only time Houston hosts Kansas City all season. Let's give the Royals a series to remember, Houston. Let's "orange out" Minute Maid Park! Fans are encouraged to wear their Astros orange for all four games against the Royals, which start at 7:10 p.m. at Minute Maid Park, April 11-14. Come kick off the Astros 2016 season and show the country what Astros fans are all about.
The first $1 Hot Dog Night of the season is Wednesday, April 13. Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).
Astros fans can also catch the deal of the season with Double Play Tuesdays, presented by Coca-Cola. Participating fans receive two View Deck II tickets for only $22.
