The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed LHP FRANKLIN MORALES to a one year non-guaranteed contract worth US $2 million plus incentives. To make room on the roster RHP RYAN TEPERA has been optioned to Buffalo.

MORALES, 30, appeared in 67 games with the World Champion Kansas City Royals last season, posting a 4-2 record with a 3.18 ERA. The left-hander held lefties to a .192 average in 2015 and his 1.155 WHIP on the season represented the best figure in his 9-year Major League career. In 300 career outing (47 starts), the Venezuela native is 23-29 with a 4.52 ERA for Colorado, Boston & Kansas City.
