TORONTO BLUE JAYS 3B JOSH DONALDSON has been named the HONDA PLAYER OF THE MONTH for April by the TORONTO CHAPTER of the BBWAA. Honda, the official vehicle of the Blue Jays, will make a donation to the charity of Josh's choosing.
DONALDSON hit .292 in April with eight home runs, 20 RBIs and a 1.033 OPS. His eight home runs for the month was tied for the American League lead, in addition to ranking secnd in RBIs, third in slugging (.646) and fifth in OPS. Of his 28 hits, 17 went for extra bases, or 60.7 percent, the highest percentage in baseball.
Also receiving votes were LHP J.A. HAPP (3-0, 2.76 ERA) and RHP AARON SANCHEZ (2-1, 2.59 ERA).
