CBS 11 and the Texas Rangers present "Weather Day" for local students

CBS 11 meteorologists will present a special pre-game weather presentation to area school children attending the Wednesday, May 11, Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Park in Arlington. This marks the eleventh year of this springtime tradition in North Texas.

Dallas/Fort Worth - CBS 11 meteorologists will present a special pre-game weather presentation to area school children attending the Wednesday, May 11, Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Park in Arlington. This marks the eleventh year of this springtime tradition in North Texas.
 
CBS 11 Meteorologists Scott Padgett, Jeff Jamison, Lisa Villegas and Jeff Ray will host a one-hour "Weather Authority" class at approximately 10:00 a.m. The presentation will include:
•   Information about severe weather safety and the difference between watches and warnings
•   Interactive lessons on the solar system, thunderstorms and hail
•   Experiments to teach students about cloud formation, air pressure and fronts
•   Demonstrations of a National Weather Service weather balloon and the chroma key process
 
Admission to Weather Day is open to anyone with the purchase of a ticket to the May 11 Rangers game against the Chicago White Sox (1:05 p.m. first pitch). Gates will open at 9:30 a.m.
