Following today's game vs. Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Tommy Kahnle to Class AAA Charlotte.
Kahnle, 26, has made one scoreless relief appearance (1.0 IP) over two stints with the White Sox this season. He has gone 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA (3 ER/11.0 IP), one save and 13 strikeouts over nine appearances with Charlotte this season.
Chicago will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow night's series opener at Texas.
