The Milwaukee Brewers are excited to partner with all 30 Major League Baseball teams for "Play Ball Weekend," set for this Friday through Sunday.

To start the festivities, the Brewers will host a press conference on Friday at a local school where the team will announce a major donation of baseball equipment and books to thousands of students at local Milwaukee Public Schools.

The donations are part of Major League Baseball's "Play Ball Weekend," which focuses on encouraging participation in all forms of the game, particularly informal participation.

The official announcement will be made at a press conference at Brown Street Academy Playground (2029 N. 20th Street) on Friday, May 13 at 12:30 p.m. Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger, along with several members of the team's front office and Brown Street Academy staff will be on hand to announce the details.

In addition, Brewers players Chris Capuano, Chris Carter, Alex Presley and Will Smith will be on hand to interact with kids from Brown Street Academy and engage in a mini-clinic.

Brewers partner Chevrolet is a sponsor of "Play Ball Weekend."
