DETROIT - The Tigers return to Comerica Park for nine games, three three-game series against the Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays and Philadelphia Phillies Monday, May 16 through Wednesday, May 25 with an off day on Thursday, May 19. 
The Tigers play host to the Twins May 16-18 with Monday and Tuesday's games slated for a 7:10 p.m. first pitch. The series finale against Minnesota will be on Wednesday, May 18 at 1:10 p.m. Following an off day, the Rays come to town for a weekend series May 20-22. The series opener against the Rays is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. start followed by two day games, Saturday, May 21 at 4:10 p.m. and Sunday, May 22 at 1:10 p.m. The Tigers cap off their homestand with an interleague series against Philadelphia Monday, May 23 through Wednesday, May 25. Monday and Tuesday's games are scheduled for 7:10 p.m. starts, with Wednesday's first pitch at 1:10 p.m.

·   Vote Early, Vote Often and #VoteTigers: Voting has started for Major League Baseball's All-Star Game held at Petco Park in San Diego. MLB's All-Star balloting program is the largest of its kind in professional sports and again will be conducted exclusively online. Fans around the world can cast their votes for position starters up to five times in any 24-hour period and a total of 35 times by visiting tigers.com/vote. Voting is open now through June 30 and fans are encouraged to vote early and often. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Tigers players at the All-Star voting table at Brushfire Grill during all home games within the voting period. Monday, May 16 vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.
·   PLAY BALL at Comerica Park: The Tigers will celebrate the inaugural "Play Ball Weekend" MLB's PLAY BALL initiative, Monday at Comerica Park. All kids 14 and under will receive a whiffle bat and ball set, courtesy of MLB and randomly selected kids and members of the Detroit Tigers Kids Club will be selected to play catch on the field as well as participate in a meet and greet with a Tigers player. Prior to the start of the game there will be a PLAY BALL video presented on the scoreboard and nine youth baseball players from the St. Hedwigs Twins will take the field at each position for a "cap exchange" with the Tigers starting lineup.
·   Prior to the game against the Minnesota Twins the Tigers will honor the life and career of John Young, a professional and friend to Major League Baseball and the Tigers, with a tribute and a moment of silence. 
·   The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Detroit Tigers Kids Club member 10-year-old Annabel, who was selected after her letter, "How She Plays Ball" was chosen by the Tigers as part of the PLAY BALL initiative. 
·   The national anthem will be performed by 13-year-old Brooklyn Stack and signed by the Milford High School Sign Language Choir of Highland Township, MI.
·   Military Veterans Program (MVP) - FOX Sports Detroit broadcaster Mario Impemba continues to thank the men and women of the United States Armed Force. Through the program, Mario invites those who served and the families impacted by the service of a loved one in support of our nation to attend the first Monday home game of each month at Comerica Park. Guests from Team Red White and Blue of Ann Arbor, MI will receive a lower-bowl ticket to the Tigers game, a "MVP" t-shirt, a voucher for a BBQ dinner and an autographed photo of Tigers broadcaster Mario Impemba. Tuesday, May 17 vs. Minnesota Twins at 7:10 p.m. Gates Open at 5:30 p.m.
·   The first 10,000 fans will receive an Ian Kinsler bobblehead, presented by Dunkin' Donuts.
·   Prior to Tuesday's game against the Twins, all of the 2015 contestants from the Miss Michigan Scholarship Pageant will be recognized in a pregame ceremony.
·   The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by 2015 Miss Michigan title holder Emily Kieliszewski and the Founder of Rock CF, Emily Schaller. The Rock CF Foundation is dedicated to increasing the quality of life for people with cystic fibrosis.
Wednesday, May 18 vs. Minnesota Twins at 1:10 p.m. Gates Open at 11:30 a.m.
·   Space Day: The Detroit Tigers will host over 1,900 students from local schools to participate in Space Day, the fourth installment of the Tigers annual "Class Outside Series," presented by Oakland University, prior to the Wednesday May 18th game vs. the Minnesota Twins at 1:10 p.m. Students attending will learn about the science of space and how it relates to Michigan. The pregame program will feature several science experiments by the Michigan Science Center and a lesson on the size of our universe. In addition, the Space Day program will focus on technology taking us into a new era of spaceflight, including a mini-space shuttle called Dream Chaser®. Students will also learn about the evolving commercial space industry and how it's benefitting life here on Earth. The program features special guest John Roth, Vice President of Business Development at Sierra Nevada Corporation.
·   Prior to Wednesday's game against the Twins, The Detroit Tigers will celebrate their partnership with the G.R.E.A.T program featuring 40 G.R.E.A.T students and various law enforcement personnel. The Tigers were the first professional sports team to commit to the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) program, and have dedicated one game annually since 1992 to G.R.E.A.T.
·   The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Cyrenia Hepfer, representing AAA and Tigers Fan Mike Kannensohn.
·   The national anthem will be performed by the cast of Hockey, The Musical, which opens on Thursday, May 19 at City Theatre and signed by the Hartland High School Sign Language Choir.
·   Aquafina School Incentive and Reward Program: Over the course of four games, the Detroit Tigers Foundation and Aquafina will host over 10,000 students from area schools to reward and thank students as part of the annual Detroit Tigers School Incentive and Reward Program. On May 18, as part of the School Incentive and Reward Program, a total of 1,500 custom drawstring backpacks will be given away to students courtesy of Aquafina and the Detroit Tigers Foundation, an affiliate of Ilitch Charities.

·   Polish American Night Ticket Package: The Tigers will host the 46th Annual Polish American Night at Comerica Park. ·   Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Raffle: The Detroit Tigers Foundation 50/50 Charity Raffle continues at Comerica Park this season at all Friday and Saturday home games. The partner charity for this weekend's 50/50 raffle is the National Polish American Sports Hall of Fame, an organization whose mission is to recognize and preserve outstanding achievement by individuals of Polish heritage in the field of sports and to educate the entire community with the hope of encouraging and inspiring personal excellence. Tickets will be sold on a digital platform and are three for $5, 10 for $10 and 40 for $20. The winner will be announced on the Comerica Park scoreboard before the end of the game. The 50/50 Charity Raffle program has raised more than $1.1 million for charity.

Saturday, May 21 vs. Tampa Bay Rays at 4:10 p.m. Gates Open at 2:30 p.m.
·   The national anthem will be performed by 89-year-old Hermina Hersch, a Holocaust survivor whose bucket list wish was to sing the national anthem at a Detroit Tigers game.
·   The ceremonial first pitch will be thrown by Tigers fan Rosemary Biecak.
·   Verlander's Victory for Veterans: This season, for each Saturday home game, Justin Verlander hosts Veterans from Veterans Affairs Medical Centers throughout the state of Michigan. These Veterans sustained injuries or illness in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom or in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom. The Veterans along with their families cheer on the Tigers from the comfort of Verlander's personal luxury suite. After serving our country, the special day provides American veterans the opportunity to enjoy a Tigers game with their family. Veterans from the Saginaw Veterans Affairs Healthcare System will share 18 luxury suite tickets and parking passes in the Tigers Parking Garage. ·   Law Enforcement Night: The Tigers celebrate law enforcement officers and support the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, with a special ticket package that includes an upper box infield, lower baseline box, or mezzanine ticket, Detroit Tigers/Law Enforcement Challenge Coin and a $10 donation to National Law Enforcement Museum. ·   Journalism Day: Prior to Wednesday's game vs. the Phillies at 1:10 p.m., over 2,100 students from local schools will participate in Journalism Day, the fourth installment of the Tigers' annual "Class Outside Series," presented by Oakland University. Students attending will learn about careers in journalism from the people who cover the Detroit Tigers for radio, television, print and other news outlets. This year's panel headlines the voice of the Detroit Tigers, radio broadcaster Dan Dickerson of 97.1 FM The Ticket.
·   The national anthem will be performed by vocalist Kenny Nelson and signed by the Romeo High School Sign Language Choir, accompanied by the Jr. ROTC Honor Guard.
