Rockies Recall RHPs Miguel Castro and Jordan Lyles from Triple-A

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitchers Miguel Castro and Jordan Lyles from Triple-A Albuquerque.

The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled right-handed pitchers Miguel Castro and Jordan Lyles from Triple-A Albuquerque. Additionally, right-handed pitcher Christian Bergman has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with a strained left oblique and right-hander Scott Oberg has been optioned to Triple-A.
Castro, 21, was reinstated and optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque May 18 after being placed on the 15-day disabled list April 22 with right shoulder inflammation … in two appearances with Albuquerque, he went 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA (2.0 IP, 3 ER), no walks and one strikeout … in six appearances with the Rockies prior to being placed on the disabled list, the right-hander allowed one run in six innings pitched (1.50 ERA) with two hits, two walks and eight strikeouts … he was acquired by the Rockies via trade from Toronto along with RHP Jeff Hoffman, SS Jose Reyes and RHP Jesus Tinoco, for RHP LaTroy Hawkins and SS Troy Tulowitzki, July 28, 2015 … made his Major League debut for the Blue Jays April 6, 2015, and is 0-3 with a 4.94 ERA (23.2 IP, 13 ER), 12 walks and 26 strikeouts in 24 Major League appearances between Toronto and Colorado.
Lyles, 25, began the season on the Rockies Opening Day Roster before being optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque April 25 … was 1-1 with a 7.64 ERA (17.2 IP, 15 ER) in four starts with Colorado prior to being optioned … in four starts with Albuquerque, was 1-1 with a 5.40 ERA (20.0 IP, 12 ER), nine walks and 15 strikeouts … for his Major League career, Lyles is 24-39 with a 5.18 ERA (570.1 IP, 328 ER) in 108 games, 101 starts, with Houston (2011-13) and Colorado (2014-16) … the Rockies acquired Lyles and outfielder Brandon Barnes from the Houston Astros on Dec. 3, 2013 in exchange for outfielder Dexter Fowler and a player to be named later.
Bergman, 28, is 1-3 with a 5.89 ERA (18.1 IP, 12 ER), four walks and 19 strikeouts in nine appearances, one start, for the Rockies … made his only start April 16 at Chicago-NL and pitched five innings, allowing two runs on four hits … in parts of three seasons with the Rockies (2014-16), is 7-9 with a 5.35 ERA (141.1 IP, 84 ER), 29 walks and 87 strikeouts … was selected by the Rockies in the 24th round of the 2010 First-Year Player Draft out of UC-Irvine.
    
Oberg, 26, is 0-0 with a 4.76 ERA (11.1 IP, 6 ER) in eight relief appearances for the Rockies since being recalled from Triple-A on April 25 … made his Major League debut in 2015 with Colorado, posting a 3-4 record and a 5.09 ERA (58.1 IP, 33 ER) with one save in 64 games … was originally drafted by the Rockies in the 15th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Connecticut.
The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
