Royals trade OF Jose Martinez to St. Louis for cash considerations

The Kansas City Royals announced today that they have traded outfielder Jose Alberto Martinez to the St. Louis Cardinals in exchange for cash considerations. Martinez, 27, was designated for assignment on May 18.
