D-backs recall Edwin Escobar from Triple-A Reno

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled LHP Edwin Escobar from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. Following last night's game, OF Peter O'Brien was optioned to Reno.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) recalled LHP Edwin Escobar from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart. Following last night's game, OF Peter O'Brien was optioned to Reno.
Escobar, 24, is making his D-backs debut after being claimed off waivers from the Boston Red Sox on April 29. In 8 games (6 starts) with Reno and Triple-A Pawtucket this season, he was 2-1 with a 3.66 ERA (13 ER in 32.0 IP).
Escobar entered 2014 ranked by Baseball America as the No. 2 prospect in the San Francisco Giants' organization, and later in the season, participated in the Major League Baseball All-Star Futures Game at Target Field.
O'Brien, 25, was recalled from the Aces on May 27 and appeared as a pinch-hitter that night vs. San Diego.
