Cleveland Indians start summer with #BringTheHeat weekend

The Cleveland Indians are launching summer during their #BringTheHeat weekend, June 3-5 against the Kansas City Royals.
 
The summer celebration begins Friday night with 10,000 fans receiving perforated-lens sunglasses courtesy of Subway, Sugardale Dollar Dog Night and Pregame in the District with $2 domestic cans presented by Miller Lite and live music on the RTA stage. Fans are also encouraged to "Rock Your Red" to the game and post photos to social media with #BringTheHeat to celebrate the start of summer; those using the hashtag will be entered to win prizes. Friday night will conclude with "Summer Road Trip"-themed fireworks presented by Wayside Furniture.
 
Weekend promos and events continue Saturday with a fan favorite - Turn Back the Clock Night. Saturday's game features Tribe and Royals players wearing throwback jerseys along with 12,500 fans receiving a 1976 replica jersey courtesy of Sugardale. Additionally, fans can enjoy post-game fireworks paying tribute to Glenn Frey, David Bowie and Prince, presented by Gilbane.
 
The homestand concludes with fun for the whole family on Sunday. Sunday's game features KeyBank Kids Fun Day giving kids the opportunity to enjoy both the action on and off the field. Kids Run the Bases will take place post-game presented by Cleveland Clinic Children's. Young Tribe fans 12 and under will have the opportunity to run the bases like their favorite players after the game.
 
The June 3-5 weekend is also Indians fee-free weekend presented by Cleveland Clinic. Fee-free tickets for will be made available to fans online at Indians.com from May 30-June 1.
