COLBY RASMUS 2015 POSTSEASON BOBBLEHEAD AND BAYOU BASH
The long-awaited Colby Rasmus 2015 Postseason Bobblehead, presented by H-E-B, has arrived! On Saturday, June 4, 10,000 fans will receive the special giveaway before the Astros take on the Oakland A's in a 3:10 p.m. matinee. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive this weekend's promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed.
Additionally, the Astros will once again host the Bayou Bash, presented by H-E-B, in the Plaza on Crawford Street! The fan-favorite Cajun-themed street festival will feature crawfish, cold beer, live music by country rock band BlackJack Billy and activities for all ages. The 2016 Bayou Bash begins at 12:00 p.m. and ends just prior to the 3:10 p.m. first pitch for all fans with a June 4 game ticket. ORBIT'S BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION WEEKEND
Orbit is celebrating his birthday the weekend of June 4-5 and wants the whole city of Houston to celebrate with him! In honor of everyone's favorite furry alien's special day, mascots from all over Houston and Major League Baseball will be at the ballpark on Saturday and Sunday, including Clutch (Houston Rockets), Diesel (Houston Dynamo), Toro (Houston Texans), Stomper  (Oakland A's), Lou Seal (San Francisco Giants), Mariner Moose (Seattle Mariners) and Screech (Washington Nationals).
On Saturday, June 4, fans are invited to join Orbit and his MLB mascot friends for brunch in Union Station from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. prior to that day's 3:10 p.m. contest. A limited number of vouchers for Orbit's Birthday Brunch are still available, so fans are encouraged to reserve their seats quickly.
And on Sunday, June 5, Orbit and his friends will be available for a FREEpregame photo session in the Atrium of Minute Maid Park, located near the Union Station Team Store, from 12:00 - 12:30 p.m. Additionally, 10,000 fans will receive an Orbit Lunch Bag, presented by Coca-Cola. KEUCHEL'S KORNER
Keuchel's Korner, presented by Houston Methodist, is back this Thursday, June 2 as Dallas Keuchel takes on former Cy Young Award winner Zack Greinke and the Arizona Diamondbacks at 1:10 p.m. Tickets for the dedicated fan section, located in sections 105 and 106, include a signature Dallas Keuchel beard giveaway and an exclusive Keuchel's Korner T-shirt. BIG AND BRIGHT FRIDAY NIGHTS
Big and Bright Friday Night fireworks return this Friday, June 3, featuring a musical tribute to Prince. Fireworks begin approximately 15 minutes following the conclusion of Friday's 7:10 p.m. game vs. the Oakland A's.
$1 HOT DOGS
Tomorrow night, June 1, is $1 Hot Dogs at the ballpark! Every Wednesday night home game features $1 Hot Dogs, presented by Nolan Ryan Beef. Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).
BASEBALL TOMORROW FUND EQUIPMENT DRIVE
The Houston Astros will be collecting equipment prior to the Sunday, June 5 game vs. the Oakland Athletics to benefit the YMCA of Greater Houston. The Baseball Tomorrow Fund is a program of Major League Baseball and the Major League Baseball Players Association which provides funding for fields, equipment and uniforms to support the growth of youth baseball and softball. Fans are encouraged to donate slightly used equipment at various collection points prior to entering the ballpark.
PITCH, HIT AND RUN
This spring, over 650,000 children have participated nationwide in Major League Baseball's free Pitch, Hit and Run program. Prior to Sunday's contest, the top 24 qualifiers from Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi will compete at Minute Maid Park in hopes of advancing to the National Finals at the 2016 Major League Baseball All-Star Game in San Diego, CA. The 2016 National Finalists will be announced live on MLB Network on June 27th.
PROJECT PLAYHOUSE
HomeAid Houston's Project Playhouse will be on display at Minute Maid Park at the top of section 150 until Wednesday, June 22. The "Pixel Playhouse" built by M/I Homes, features air conditioning, a plasma TV, iPad and more. Raffle tickets for a chance to win the playhouse will be on sale at the same location. This is the 10th season that the Houston Astros and HomeAid Houston have partnered for Project Playhouse. Money raised from Project Playhouse furthers HomeAid's mission to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through construction and community outreach.
