Mets recall RHP Erik Goeddel; option RHP Logan Verrett

The New York Mets today announced the club has recalled RHP Erik Goeddel from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League and optioned RHP Logan Verrett to Las Vegas. Goeddel will wear #62 and will be available for today's game in Milwaukee.

The New York Mets today announced the club has recalled RHP Erik Goeddel from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League and optioned RHP Logan Verrett to Las Vegas. Goeddel will wear #62 and will be available for today's game in Milwaukee.
 
Goeddel, 27, was 1-1 with one save a 4.94 ERA (13 earned runs/23.2 innings) in 21 games for the 51s this season. He allowed 24 hits, issued 13 walks and struck out 26.
 
Goeddel went 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA (nine earned runs/33.1 innings) with 34 strikeouts in 35 games for the Mets in 2015. He missed nearly three months with a strained right elbow. He appeared in one postseason game (NLDS - Game 3 vs. the Dodgers).
 
The 6-3, 190-pounder is 1-1 with a 2.48 ERA (11 earned runs/40.0 innings) in 41 major league games with the Mets from 2014-2015. Goeddel's brother Tyler is an outfielder with the Phillies.
 
Verrett, 25, was 3-4 with a 4.02 ERA (19 earned runs/40.1 innings) in 19 games, four starts for New York this year.
