LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) announced today its second annual Blue Diamond Gala will feature an exclusive concert by multi-Grammy Award®-winning rock band Fleetwood Mac, which will be the group's only public performance for 2016. The gala will also honor legendary Dodger broadcaster and Hall of Famer Vin Scully. This year's event, presented by the Los Angeles Dodgers' ownership group, will be an intimate evening with the Dodger players and coaches taking place Thursday, July 28 at Dodger Stadium. "Our Blue Diamond Gala is going to be a special night where we invite Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation supporters onto the baseball diamond to join us for a special concert by Fleetwood Mac showcasing their hits and classic songs, and to celebrate our own Vin Scully and the great work of the Dodgers Foundation," said Mark Walter, Dodger owner and chairman of the LADF Board. "The youth and family programs of the Dodgers Foundation are woven into the cultural fabric of Los Angeles, providing vital services to the challenged communities of our city. Serving as this year's event chairs for the LADF Blue Diamond Gala are Shelli and Irving Azoff. Irving Azoff is one of the most prominent music and entertainment executives in the country. He is chairman and CEO of Azoff MSG Entertainment. In 2015, Azoff launched Oak View Group, a Los Angeles-based sports, music and live entertainment company designed to be a positive influence in each of those industries. 
Fleetwood Mac is a British-American rock band formed in July 1967 in London. The band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide, making them one of the best-selling bands of all time. In 1998, select members of Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
Scully is serving his 67^th and final season in the broadcast booth for the Dodgers -- the longest of any sports broadcaster with one team. The LADF Blue Diamond Gala marks the first formal milestone event of the season recognizing Scully's seven consecutive decades with the Dodger organization.
LADF is the official team charity of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Its primary focus is to support cornerstone programs in Sports + Recreation, Education + Literacy and Health + Wellness benefitting children and families in need throughout the greater Los Angeles region. By leveraging strategic partnerships, the mission is to harness the power of the Dodger brand and the passion Dodger fans have for Los Angeles into a vehicle for positive change in under-served communities.
Since the inception of both the Dodgers Dreamfields and Dodgers RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) programs, the LADF has invested nearly $10 million in underserved communities throughout Los Angeles. Proceeds from the Blue Diamond Gala will support the expansion of these two programs, increasing the number of youth served and increasing overall impact.
