Red Sox president and pitcher to help debut mobile truck at Faneuil Hall

Red Sox President Sam Kennedy and pitcher Matt Barnes will help debut a new mobile truck at Faneuil Hall tomorrow that will bring elements of the Fenway Park experience to communities throughout New England during the 2016 baseball season - part of the club's "Calling All Kids" initiative to bring children and young adults closer to the game.

Red Sox President Sam Kennedy and pitcher Matt Barnes will help debut a new mobile truck at Faneuil Hall tomorrow that will bring elements of the Fenway Park experience to communities throughout New England during the 2016 baseball season - part of the club's "Calling All Kids" initiative to bring children and young adults closer to the game.
 
"The Red Sox Showcase powered by T-Mobile" is a 15-foot long truck with panels that move to remake the Green Monster wall, and carries a batting cage with personalized walk up music, a virtual reality experience, pitching station, a steal 2nd base challenge, and Red Sox Jenga. 
 
The truck will debut tomorrow, Wednesday, June 15, at Faneuil Hall in Boston from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Red Sox President Sam Kennedy and pitcher Matt Barnes are scheduled to attend the event around 11 a.m. along with Wally, Tessie, and the World Series trophies. 
 
The Red Sox Showcase is a free experience and will make appearances at a variety of festivals, events, and schools during the summer months. Three additional appearances in June include a stop at the Joseph Lee K-8 School in Dorchester on Friday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., WEEI's Monster Fun Day at Hunnewell Field in Wellesley on Saturday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and an appearance at the Worcester Bravehearts baseball game at Hanover Insurance Park on Wednesday, June 29, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
