The Colorado Rockies announced today that shortstop Jose Reyes has been reinstated from the Restricted List and subsequently designated for assignment.
 
Reyes, 33, batted .303 (10-for-33) with seven runs scored, two home runs, two RBI, seven walks, four strikeouts and three stolen bases in a nine-game rehab assignment with Triple-A Albuquerque … played in 47 games for the Rockies in 2015 after being acquired along with right-handers Miguel Castro, Jeff Hoffman and Jesus Tinoco in a trade with the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for right-hander LaTroy Hawkins and shortstop Troy Tulowitzki … batted .259 (50-for-193) with 21 runs scored, eight doubles, three home runs, 19 RBI, nine walks, 24 strikeouts and eight stolen bases for the Rockies in 2015.
 
A four-time All-Star as a member of the New York Mets (2006, 2007, 2010, 2011), Reyes has a career batting average of .290 (1,904-for-5,568) with 1,030 runs scored, 337 doubles, 117 triples, 118 home runs, 621 RBI, 494 walks, 747 strikeouts and 479 stolen bases … in parts of 13 Major League seasons, has played for the Mets (2003-2011, 1,050 games), the Miami Marlins (2012, 160 games), the Toronto Blue Jays (2013-2015, 352 games) and the Rockies (2015, 47 games).
