Philadelphia's Asher suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Alec Asher has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Philadelphia Phillies 40-man roster pitcher Alec Asher, currently on option to Triple-A Lehigh Valley, has received an 80-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Dehydrochlormethyltestosterone, a performance-enhancing substance, in violation of Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
