Mets roster moves

The New York Mets today announced that that RHP Jim Henderson was placed on the 15-Day Disabled List, retroactive to June 19, with right biceps tendonitis and LHP Sean Gilmartin was recalled from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. In addition, catcher Travis d'Arnaud was recalled from his rehabilitation assignment and activated from the Disabled List and catcher Kevin Plawecki was optioned to Las Vegas (AAA).

The New York Mets today announced that that RHP Jim Henderson was placed on the 15-Day Disabled List, retroactive to June 19, with right biceps tendonitis and LHP Sean Gilmartin was recalled from Las Vegas (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. In addition, catcher Travis d'Arnaud was recalled from his rehabilitation assignment and activated from the Disabled List and catcher Kevin Plawecki was optioned to Las Vegas (AAA).
 
Gilmartin, 26, will wear #36 and will be available for tonight's game. Gilmartin was 8-3 with a 4.48 ERA (35 earned runs/70.1 innings) in 12 starts for the 51s this year. He issued 19 walks and struck out 68. Gilmartin has thrown 5.0 scoreless innings with New York this year when he was with the team from May 12-17. Gilmartin was 3-2 with a 2.67 ERA (17 earned runs/57.1 innings) in 50 games for the Mets last year.
 
D'Arnaud had been on the 15-Day Disabled List since April 26, with a right rotator cuff strain. He hit .317 (13-41) with four doubles, seven RBI, five runs scored and 11 walks in 11 rehabilitation games between St. Lucie (A) of the Florida State League and Las Vegas (AAA). He was hitting .196 (9-46) with one RBI in 13 games with the Mets this season.
