The New York Mets today announced the club has signed its first-round pick from the 2016 First-Year Player Draft RHP Justin Dunn and its third-round selection third baseman Blake Tiberi.
 
Dunn and Tiberi will report to Brooklyn (A) of the New York-Penn League.
 
Dunn, 20, went 4-2 with a 2.06 ERA (15 earned runs/65.2 innings) in 18 games, eight starts for Boston College as a junior this year. He issued 18 walks and struck out 72.
 
Dunn helped Boston College reach its first ACC Baseball Championship this year after he threw his first career complete game at No. 22 Georgia Tech on May 21. He was named to the Oxford All-Regional team after striking out a career-high 11 batters over 7.0 innings in the Eagles opening game win of the Oxford Regional vs. Tulane.
 
Dunn was named a third-team All-American by Baseball America. Additionally, he was also named a semifinalist for the Greg Olson Award, which honors college baseball's breakout player of the year. He has already been named to the All-ACC third-team and the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA) All-New England second-team this season.
 
A native of Freeport, Long Island, Dunn, attended high school at The Gunnery School in Washington, CT. He was a New England Prep Baseball League (WNEPBL) First-Team All-Star.
 
Tiberi, 21, hit .340 (83-244) with 47 runs scored, 18 doubles, two triples, 10 homers, 51 RBI with a .387 on-base percentage in 64 games this season for the University of Louisville as a redshirt sophomore.
 
He was named to the 2016 NCAA Louisville Regional All-Tournament Team and was a 2016 All-ACC Third Team selection.
 
Tiberi was named to the Cape Cod League All-Star Game during the 2015 summer and finished eighth in the league in hitting with a .315 average.
 
The native of Taylor Mill, KY was second on Louisville with 27 multi-hit games this year.
